Hey Josh,
Cool idea- Random anecdote here. When Slack first introduced dialogues/modals (~2 years ago), we added the ability to submit a weekly check-in directly via a modal vs. visiting our website for my company (www.friday.app)
We instantly noticed a massive drop in the quality and richness of the response. Two reasons:
- Slack has effectively trained people to blast off quick fire messages
- Modals didn’t give us any rich text formatting. It was essentially a blank textarea, which is still the case.
If you want to encourage thoughtful conversations/feedback, I would strongly encourage you not to use Slack modals to do it.
Just a bit of random nuance based on previous learnings :)
